There's Someone Inside Your House
Plot Synopsis:
A killer stalks a small town, and is set on killing them and exposing their deepest, darkest secrets.
Positives:
Starting things off with the things I liked, I think it's pretty creative that the killer always wears masks that resemble their victim's faces. I can also appreciate the brutality in some of the movie's kills. I mean it, there's a point where a character has their heels slashed open. Also, for a slasher movie, I actually like that some of these characters are decently fleshed out. In many ways, these characters are actually allowed to feel like people, especially the movie's final girl. However, I have more to say about the characters as a whole in another section.
Mixed Aspects:
I've already kind of hinted at this. As much as I appreciate the fact that some of the characters have more development than most slasher movies give characters, sometimes I think it's to the movie's detriment. For example, one of the characters that you're kind of supposed to root for is probably the character I found to be the most annoying character in the movie. The movie has a mystery aspect to it as well, and the overall way the mystery plays out is something I have mixed feelings on. There's a couple of characters who are so obvious, you could just tell they were red herrings. When the killer was revealed, there were things that I kind of wondered how he pulled them off, and how he knew about them. I also kind of want to circle back to the movie's kills. I had said that a couple of them were decently brutal, and I meant that. But, the body count isn't very high, and outside of those two kills, the rest are just kind of whatever.
Negatives:
The main thing is that there were parts of this movie that I am struggling to remember almost a day after watching it.
Final Thoughts:
I think this was a fine enough way to kill 90 minutes. I didn't hate it. I'm glad watched it, but I also didn't think it was anything to write home about either. It's just one of those movies where I don't have much to say.
My Rating:
🩸🩸🩸
" I didn't hate it. I'm glad watched it, but I also didn't think it was anything to write home about either. It's just one of those movies where I don't have much to say." < 100% Couldn't have said it better myself.
