Ranking The Final Destination Movies

This is just my personal ranking for the Final Destination franchise.

#5: The Final Destination: The fourth film might have a couple of fun kills. But, that's about all I think this movie has to offer. The accident is by far my least favorite. This is the movie that has probably the worst characters of the entire franchise. Most of the kills look fake to the point of looking genuinely bad. This movie made it feel like the franchise was just running on fumes.

#4: Final Destination 3: I would argue the third movie is where the characters really start taking a down turn. I also don't love the rollercoaster accident either. There are a couple of advantages this has over the fourth film. Namely, this one felt like it was trying to take things forward, and come up with something that resembled a new idea. I also think there are more kills that stand out here.

#3: Final Destination 5: After the fourth movie was awful, the fifth movie was a nice return to form. It offered more likable characters, some better kills, and legitimately good twist ending that I didn't see coming when I first saw the movie.

#2: Final Destination 2: I actually like that this was a direct sequel, as opposed to most of the following movies going for a standalone approach. This movie has some fun supporting characters, and I will always welcome Tony Todd in a movie. I like that this movie deals with the ripple effect of the first film.

#1: Final Destination: The first film introduced this idea. The kills here may not be as over the top, but they are pretty effective for how simple they are. It also helps that this film had an idea that, at the time, felt pretty fresh and new.
