Jeff Loves Horror

 I started thinking about a list like this, and thought it could be fun to look at some movies I really enjoy that have a horror aesthetic that I could easily recommend to people who aren't necessarily fans of the genre. Some of these might stretch the definition of horror a little bit, but, there is at least a taste of the genre somewhere in these movies. This won't be in any particular order. It's just something I wanted to do. I won't feature animated movies here because I think I want to look at animated horror movies in their list.   Gremlins : I have referenced this movie a lot. It is a movie that's a bit more geared towards kids. So, you get some of those scarier moments. However, you also get some campy humor thrown in there as well. I haven't talked too much about the Paranormal Activity franchise. I reviewed one of them a few years ago, and that's about it. So, this is my personal ranking of the Paranormal Activity movies.  #6: Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension : To date, this is the last movie in the Paranormal Activity franchise. I also think it's sad the last movie in the franchise just so happens to be the worst. In particular, I really feel this movie stripped away the one creepy element the franchise had left. They showed you what the activity. More than anything, this movie feels like a gimmick. It probably doesn't help that the flick is the only movie in the franchise in 3D because the characters found a 3D camera from the 1980s.
